About LC Homes

Our History
The story of LC Homes began in 1947, when a young Italian immigrant trained in
carpentry started a custom-home building company, which he called Louis Capano and Sons.
Louis J. Capano, Sr., who came to this country at the age of seven, worked tirelessly and steadily
grew his business until he was one of the premier home builders in the state – and one of its most
respected residents. Under his father’s guidance, Louis J. Capano, Jr. began working for the
business as a teenager and the two worked side by side until the senior Capano’s untimely
death in 1980 at age 57 at which time, Louis Capano, Jr. took over the family business.

In 1995, Louis Capano, Jr. started his own home building company, which has now built
more than 3,000 single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums throughout the state
of Delaware. Every home has maintained that personal attention to detail,
comfort and value – the fundamental philosophy that began in 1947.
Every home built by LC Homes is an extension of that philosophy – that luxury doesn’t
have to cost a fortune and that every home is as unique as the family who owns it.

In 1999, his own son, Louis Capano III, joined Mr. Capano. Now in its third generation,
LC Homes is as committed to its customers and the quality of its homes as it was in 1947.
Every customer is important, and every home is our first priority.

Delaware’s housing market has seen many changes over the years, but at LC Homes, one thing
has remained the same. Louis Capano, Sr. made a commitment to helping people achieve their
dream of owning a home by providing personal attention, superior quality and excellent service.
That dream is still a reality and LC Homes is here to help you achieve it, every step of the way.
